It’s October!

Which means several things, but the two most important are it’s my birthday month, and it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Now obviously my birthday month only matters to me (and, well, my Mom), but Breast Cancer Awareness Month is important to us all.

In honor of those I love who have been through breast cancer, I am doing a couple things.

I wrote a guest article, 6 Tips You Need To Know About Breast Cancer, for another wonderful blog called A Sailor’s Wife. If you haven’t seen it before, check it out. The blog is run by Kristal, and she writes about parenting, military life, and travel.

I cover some of the lesser known aspects of the disease that I have learned the past few years as several women close to me fought for their lives. It ‘s really valuable information and I recommend you all check it out.

I am also sharing with you guys about a great cause.

My cousin Kelsey, herself a breast cancer survivor and one of my favorite people (you can read a little about her story in my article above), has become a huge fan of Beauty Counter products in her effort to be more mindful of and intentional in the types of products she puts on her body.

My cousin Kelsey and her cutie kiddo!

She is creating self-care goody bags with Beauty Counter products to give to women in the middle of treatment.

If you’d like to help ensure a woman going through treatment gets a Beauty Counter goody bag, please donate to Kelsey’s cause.

$30 makes an entire kit!

But by donating any amount you can help a woman fighting breast cancer feel the love, and help her to feel good about herself during a time that she needs some extra care.

You can donate like I did to @Kelsey-Egly via Venmo.

I hope you all have a great October and are able to do something for the Breast Cancer cause that makes you feel like you’re making a difference.

And as October comes to a close, and Halloween is upon us, I wish you all a Happy Holidays because as we all know, October means December will be here tomorrow.
